EAL Data Update Agent Fails to Start After Disabling Connections in HFM Application (Doc ID 1665680.1)

Symptoms

The EAL Data Update Agent (DUA) in a bridge does not restart when the following conditions are met:

In HFM:

  1. In Workspace go to Navigate -> Consolidation System Messages
  2. Select Manage Servers and Applications in Tasks panel
  3. Select the HFM application and Disable Connections
  4. Stop all the EPM services
  5. Carry out any required maintenance
  6. Restart all the EPM services

In EAL

The Data Update Agent (DUA) in the bridge does not start even though the EAL and DSS services have been restarted


In the eal.log file the following errors will be seen:

[2014-Mar-19 12:27:51] The application has been disabled by your administrator.

[2014-Mar-19 12:27:51] Failed to start update agent on startup:Analytics Link cannot communicate with Financial Management or Analytics Link Connector for Financial Management
