OBIEE11g – Report Using Choice List Filter With User Keyed-in Value Not Working As Expect On IPad (Doc ID 1666281.1)

Symptoms

You are seeing two different symptoms which both impact the Choice List filter functionality on the iPad.  The scenarios below work when accessed via desktop/ browser:

1. When you run a report which uses Choice List and the “Enable user to type values” option with a required user input, the result is an error when executed on iPad.

2. When you tested a report which uses the Choice List and required user input (no other constraints), the user is provided a limited list of options in the Choice List window and there is no way to access More/Search… to access additional valid values.
