OBIEE 11g: SmartView 'Cannot connect to the provider' Using Different Active Connection (Doc ID 1667753.1)

Symptoms

PowerPoint (pptx) or Excel files (xlsx) saved with a named connection returns the following error if refreshed on a client with different connection : 

Cannot connect to the provider. Make sure it is running in the specified host/port (12152)

This started to occurs from the last SmartView version 11.1.2.5.200 (no problem with previous 11.1.2.5 or 11.1.2.3).

In previous version of Smartview, it was sufficient to connect to an existing OBIEE private connection (a valid one), authenticate yourself, then refresh the Powerpoint slide/Excel file and at this point SmartView would have used the current opened connection to retrieve data. With the last version 11.1.2.5.200 refresh of slides created with a different connection than the one created on the current PC client and used to import OBIEE view the first time and will generate the mentioned error.
