Purpose

This document describes additional steps that are required to configure Single Sign On (SSO) with Smart View. It applies to Smart View clients which are integrated with an Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) 11.1.1.7.1 server that is SSO enabled with Microsoft Active Directory (MSAD) and Native Authentication. These steps will allow Smart View users to launch Smart View on their Windows PCs and connect to OBIEE analytics without being prompted for a logon username and password.  The SSO login will be passed seamlessly from MSAD to OBIEE to Smart View.

Scope

This document is intended for OBIEE and SmartView developers and system administrators.  It requires knowledge of WLS and OBIEE security as well as MSAD.  This document supplements the steps in Note 1274953.1 OBIEE 11g: Configuring Authentication and SSO with Active Directory and Windows Native Authentication.
