Symptoms
Unable to export reports with custom currency format to Excel 2007+.
Either the currency symbol is not displayed in the output,
or
the export results in an error message:
The same reports can be exported successfully to PDF and Excel 2003.
This is a problem for some predefined BI Applications reports, which contains currency formats like:
[$:currencyTagColumn="Financials - Budgetary Control - Expense"."Currency Tag"."Common Currency Code"]
