When Trying to Start Essbase Apps After Crash, Java Used by Essbase Returns Error 'Unhandled exception' and Does Not Start Essbase App/database (Doc ID 1919663.1)

Symptoms

After a system crash/disk problem, Java used by Essbase dumps errors to the Essbase log, such as "Unhandled exception", and although Essbase can start, starting apps cause the java crash. Further:

1. XCPs have errors like: Signal Number:         0x11=Segmentation Violation

2. Java dumps to Essbase log text like the following:
