Goal

  • In this document, I will describe how you can start bi_server1 and opmn components and stop bi_server1 and Admin Server from Windows Start Menu after having SSL configured.
  • After SSL configuration on Windows Server, based on the below documentation, you can not start bi_server1 (WebLogic managed server) and opmn components from Windows Start Menu (StartStopServices.cmd) due to the following warning shown in the prompt window.
<2014/09/01 9:07:43: SGT> <Warning> <Security> <BEA-090485> <CERTIFICATE_UNKNOWN alert was received from <HOSTNAME> - <IP>. The peer has an unspecified issue with the certificate. SSL debug tracing should be enabled on the peer to determine what the issue is.>
<2014/09/01 9:07:44: SGT> <Warning> <Security> <BEA-090485> <CERTIFICATE_UNKNOWN alert was received from <HOSTNAME> - <IP>. The peer has an unspecified issue with the certificate. SSL debug tracing should be enabled on the peer to determine what the issue is.>
<2014/09/01 9:07:45: SGT> <Warning> <Security> <BEA-090485> <CERTIFICATE_UNKNOWN alert was received from <HOSTNAME> - <IP>. The peer has an unspecified issue with the certificate. SSL debug tracing should be enabled on the peer to determine what the issue is.>
  • When you start StartStopServices.cmd from the command prompt window, you can get the time out error.
    wls.wait.alive:
    BUILD FAILED
    <INSTANCE_HOME>\bifoundation\OracleBIApplication\coreapplicati
on\StartStopServices.xml:251: Timed out waiting for weblogic to become available

Total time: 10 minutes 3 seconds
  • You can start bi_server1 using startWebLogicManaged.cmd and opmn componets using opmnctl.cmd.
