OBIEE11G: Export to CSV Displays Less Rows than Max Rows Limit Set in the OBI Repository (rpd) and nQSError: 60008 error (Doc ID 1930870.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 15, 2019

Applies to:

Business Intelligence Server Enterprise Edition - Version and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

In OBIEE,  the query Limit is set to 100000 rows in the repository:

Manage, Identity, select a user or application role

Permissions-Query Limits

However, it is retrieving only 99926 in CSV export for one of the reports.

After the last row, the following error is displayed:

[nQSError: 43113] Message returned from OBIS.
[nQSError: 43121] Max Row Limit Exceeded
[nQSError: 43119] Query Failed:
[nQSError: 60008] The query for user 'xxxxxxx' exceeded the maximum query governing rows 100000 from the database 'Oracle Data Warehouse'....

The expected outcome is that OBIEE should download all 100000 rows.  The same report in OBIEE 10g environment is retrieving 99925 rows in CSV export.

The maximum number of rows limit behaviour is not consistent, for example, in another report which has more than 100000 rows the error was not displayed.

Please answer the following questions:

1. The reason for less number of records in (99925 instead of 100000) in OBIEE 11g
2. The inconsistent behavior of maximum rows limit parameter
3. Can we retrieve 100000 rows without displaying maximum rows limit error
