Workspace Error "Logon failed because the session is not valid" After Session Time Out in Interactive Reporting (IR) Web Client

After logging in Interactive Reporting (IR) Web Client following a session timeout, if you logon to EPM Workspace this error message will be displayed:
Logon failed because the session is not valid. Please close all open workspace browser windows and try again.
