ODI HFM Data or Metadata Integration Error "ODI-1133 Agent x detected that the work repository y went down" (Doc ID 1947803.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 09, 2023

Applies to:

Hyperion Financial Management - Version 11.1.2.1.000 and later
Oracle Data Integrator - Version 11.1.1.7.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

A long running load  from ODI to Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) is failing with an error similar to the following (where x is the name of an ODI Agent and y is the name of a work repository) indicating that the connection between the ODI Agent and the work repository went down:

WARNING ODI-1015: Error while updating session status to the repository.
WARNING IO Error: Connection reset by peer: socket write error
WARNING THROW
ERROR ODI-1133 Agent x detected that the work repository y went down.
ERROR ODI-1243 Session HFM 11.1.2.3 Data Load (889123) fails because work repository y went down

The session stays in running status in the ODI Operator log, because the agent cannot connect to the work repository to update the status of the failed session. The primary and work repositories for ODI are on an Oracle database.

Changes

If this was working in the past without any problems then the size of the loads and the time taken to complete the loads may have increased.
