Hyperion Essbase - Version and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

When doing a dimension load into Essbase from MS SQL SERVER 2008 R2 on Essbase on Exalytics/Linux (Oracle Exalytics 5), it was discovered that when ASCII hex char 96 (a "long dash" in most code pages) is encountered in an SQL alias field it causes the line to wrap to the next line in the dimension load.

If Essbase is INSTEAD installed on Windows, this error does not occur, the dimension loads OK. It's only when Essbase is installed on Linux/Exalytics that the issue happens.
