OBIA 11g ETL Hangs with ODI-1228 / ORA-01089: immediate shutdown in progress - no operations are permitted / ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_PARALLEL_EXECUTE" (Doc ID 1957960.1)

Symptoms

While attempting to run an ETL with EBS as the datasource for OFA, part way through the ETL, you encounter a step where approximately 10 indexes are being built. The ETL hangs at this step for many hours before failing with the following errors:

ODI-1228: Task SIL_APTransactionFact_Reverse_DiffManLoad.W_AP_XACT_F (Integration) fails on the target ORACLE connection BIAPPS_DW.
