OBIA 11g 'LEARNING_DELIVERY_METHOD' Wrongly Configured In 111181 RPD (Doc ID 1968498.1)

Last updated on JANUARY 30, 2017

Applies to:

Business Intelligence Applications Consumer - Version 11.1.1.8.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

In BI Apps 11.1.1.8.1, the 'Delivery Method Name' is being derived from Delivery Method code using the expression :

LOOKUP( DENSE "Core"."Lookup - Domain Source"."Domain Member Name" , 'LEARNING_DELIVERY_METHOD',
 "Core"."Dim - Learning Activity"."Delivery Method" , VALUEOF(NQ_SESSION."USER_LANGUAGE_CODE"), "Core"."Dim - Learning Activity"."Learning Activity Key")

If you see the Lookup keys it is in the order of

1. Domain Code
2. Domain Member Code
3. Language Code
4. Source ID (Data source Num ID)

But by using the expression provided for delivery method Name

LOOKUP( DENSE "Core"."Lookup - Domain Source"."Domain Member Name" , 'LEARNING_DELIVERY_METHOD',
 "Core"."Dim - Learning Activity"."Delivery Method" , VALUEOF(NQ_SESSION."USER_LANGUAGE_CODE"), "Core"."Dim - Learning Activity"."Learning Activity Key")

The order of Lookup columns passed are

1. Domain Code
2. Domain Member Code
3. Language Code
4. Activity Key (Row ID)

Row ID has no meaning in the lookup and that is why the dashboard is displaying as Not Applicable everywhere in the dashboard.
