You have installed OBIEE and use SmartView for integration with Microsoft Office.
You create a new folder under Shared Folders in the catalog, for example, called My_Shared.
You create a new dashboard, for example called My_Dashboard, and save it under My_Shared, so giving you a catalog directory structure of: /Shared Folders/My_Shared/Dashboards/My_Dashboard.
Under this you create a new sub-folder called My_Subfolder, so giving you a catalog directory structure of: /Shared Folders/My_Shared/Dashboards/My_Dashboard/My_Subfolder.
Create a new object (for example an analysis) and save it in /Shared Folders/My_Shared/Dashboards/My_Dashboard/My_Subfolder.
When you open Excel and connect to SmartView, you cannot see the My_Subfolder sub-directory.
