Symptoms
- This is a new installation and the first time extracting data to database using HFM 11.1.2.4.000 through 11.1.2.4.203.
- Recently applied HFM 11.1.2.4.204 to prior release that previously worked.
- User is unable to exact data to database.
- The following error occurs in the in extract result log:
"Data extract completed with errors for Application MYAPP using prefix MYAPP. Error code is: -2147220797 : (-2147220797) (An error occurred in creating an ODBC connection.)"
- When you use Oracle Service Name in the in HFM Consolidation Administration DSN entry the Connection Testing is failing with the below error message:
"Listener refused the connection with following error: ORA-12505, TNS: listener does not currently know of SID given in connect descriptor"
