OBIEE 11g - Cannot create Clustered DSN Due To "[nQSError: 73006]" (Doc ID 2002087.1)

Symptoms

Can not create a Clustered DSN due to the error [nQSError: 73006] when creating ODBC DSN to BI Server. 

Steps to reproduce the error:

  1. Launch ODBC Data Source Administrator.
  2. GO to the System DSN tab.
  3. Press [Configure] button and modify Default ODBC coreapplication_OHxxxxxxxx.
  4. Check [Clustered DSN] and Add Secondary Controller information and port.
  5. Next.
  6. Input login authentication information and Click [Next]. 

Error:

[nQSError: 73006] Cannot obtain Oracle BI Servers from either the primary
Cluster Controller (ipaddress) or the secondary Cluster
Controller (ipaddress) specified for the clustered DSN.
