Symptoms

The BI Apps 11.1.1.8.1 Configuration Guide states that you configure age bands with ranges that meet each other on the boundaries. I.e.
0-240
240-360

Task description – Configuring Bands for all Band Dimensions

The Guide states you can use ranges whose boundaries overlap. However attempting to do so yields the error message:

Action: Correct the domain ranges. [BIACM0065] Cause: A gap between ranges [12.0 , 24.0] and [24.0 , 60.0] or overlap is not allowed for numeric ranges.
Action: Correct the domain ranges.. [BIACM0065] Cause: A gap between ranges [24.0 , 60.0] and [60.0 , 120.0] or overlap is not allowed for numeric ranges.
Action: Correct the domain ranges.. [BIACM0065] Cause: A gap between ranges [60.0 , 120.0] and [120.0 , 240.0] or overlap is not allowed for numeric ranges.
Action: Correct the domain ranges.. [BIACM0065] Cause: A gap between ranges [120.0 , 240.0] and [240.0 , 1800.0] or overlap is not allowed for numeric ranges
