Post patching it is observed:
- In two environments, when running various analysis, there are never more than two database sessions opened on the database server.
- In one specific environment with the same patches and connection pooling configured, it is observed that running an analysis with, for example, a prompt that two additional database sessions are opened.
- This behavior triggers the database session per user limits causing the Oracle Business Intelligence session to hang until the database sessions close after approximately two minutes wait time.
- The Oracle BI Server (nqserver.log) and User Interface may throw errors such as:
State: HY000. Code: 10058. [NQODBC] [SQL_STATE: HY000] [nQSError: 10058] A general error has occurred. [nQSError: 43113] Message returned from OBIS. [nQSError: 17001] Oracle Error code: 2391, message: ORA-02391: exceeded simultaneous SESSIONS_PER_USER limit at OCI call OCISessionBegin. [nQSError: 17014] Could not connect to Oracle database.
Applied the 184.108.40.206.150120 bundle patch.
