OBIA 11g: Initialize: W_PARTY_PER_D Fails With ORA-00054: Resource Busy And Acquire With NOWAIT Specified (Doc ID 2036853.1)

Last updated on JANUARY 31, 2017

Applies to:

Business Intelligence Applications Consumer - Version and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

You are running a generated load plan for BI Apps BP6 with Financial, HR and Project offerings from an E-Business Suite R12.1.3 source.

You have intermittent failures due to locking

ORA-00054: resource busy and acquire with NOWAIT specified or timeout expired

Further investigation shows that there are two parallel steps in the load plan which contain table maintenance procedures and both attempt to truncate the same table (W_PARTY_PER_T1_D).
Depending on how long one session takes, the two may or may not impact each other.

You have already attempted to regenerate the load plan however this does not resolve the issue.

You believe the problem lies in the list of tables "Initialize: W_PARTY_PER_D" is being told to truncate - there is no need for it to truncate W_PARTY_PER_T1_D because there is another task "Initialize: W_PARTY_PER_T1_D" which is already doing this.
