Symptoms

After logging into Enterprise Manager and unchecking the "Use weblogic authentication provider configuration" option, restarting the administration server of the WebLogic domain results in the following error:

Reason: weblogic.security.SecurityInitializationException: The loading of OPSS java security policy provider failed due to exception, see the exception stack trace or the server log file for root cause. If still see no obvious cause, enable the debug flag -Djava.security.debug=jpspolicy to get more information. Error message: JPS-02579: Identity store type for application [Ljava.lang.Object;@451dfada is null or empty.

   Caused By: oracle.security.jps.JpsRuntimeException: JPS-02579: Identity store type for application [Ljava.lang.Object;@451dfada is null or empty.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
---------------
1. Login to Enterprise Manager
2. Expand WebLogic Domain
3. Right-click on the domain name and select Security, Security Provider Configuration
4. Expand "Identity Store Provider" and click "Configure..."
5. Uncheck "Use weblogic authentication provider configuration"
6. Select OK
7. Note the reported error which occurs after a restart to the Admin Server
