-In the database column is a Date field type.
-In OBIEE it's a Timestamp field type.
-Modified the data format to hh:mm:ss.

When report with this type of column is export it shows up as the pound signs in Excel.

Behind the pound signs, the value is a weird number. They look like this:

Should export to Excel without issue and showing time format.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Export a report with a Timestamp field type column.
2. Resulting file shows this column as # pound signs.

-While testing this, also noticed that exporting to Excel 2003 format does not work for a Mac with Microsoft Excel installed on it.
-When you try to open the file it says "Alert, the file format and extension of 'filename.xls' don't match. The file could be corrupted or unsafe. Unless you trust its source, don't open it. Do you want to open anyway?"
-Click "Yes" and it throws another error.

"HTML Import Errors. Problems came up in the following areas during load: Cell data too large"
