OBIEE Patch 11.1.1.7.150120 Causes Incorrect Data Results In Selected Reports (Doc ID 2056808.1)

Symptoms

After applying Patch 11.1.1.7.150120, reports return the wrong data if the post install step 5.3: Configuration, for fix of 16222516, is also applied.

This step configures the parameter OBIEE_COMPILER_LOCK_OPTIMIZATION_LEVEL, and is intended to fix bug 16222516. However, it can also change the physical SQL generated, while the logical SQL remains the same as in earlier versions. Known examples of changes made to the physical SQL include:

1. Adding a new case statement.
2. Changing how both Order By and Group By clauses are applied.

No error messages are reported, and only selected reports are affected.
