Applies to:
Business Intelligence Applications Consumer - Version 7.9.6.4 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Goal
- When using BI Applications for Spend Analyzing, mainly Spend by Category, when there is a change in EBS 12.1.3 in Item Master, the change is affecting only newly created POs.
- In EBS, At PO/Invoice Level the item and item category is stored per PO.
- The existing spend by category should not by modified.
- In BI Applications this is not the case. Changing the Category is affecting the old POs which caused the spend to be allocated to the wrong Category.
As an example :
1-Jan-2015 Item 1 belongs to Category A
on 2-Jan-2015 a PO 123 is created with Item 1 in EBS.
PO 123 displays the item as Item1 and Category as A.
In OBIEE , it displays PO 123 with Item1 and Category A
on 2-Jan-2015 a PO 123 is created with Item 1 in EBS.
PO 123 displays the item as Item1 and Category as A.
In OBIEE , it displays PO 123 with Item1 and Category A
===================
On 5-Jan -2015, In EBS ,there is a change in Master Org and now , Item 1 belongs to Category B
In EBS the screen still displays PO 123 , Item1 and Category A
After running an incremental Load, OBIEE displays PO 123 , Item 1 and Category B
