OBIEE 11g - Analytics Menu (Home, Catalog, New) Not Present InInternet Explorer (IE) 9 Or IE 11

Symptoms
- Menu not present in MS Internet Explorer 9 or 11.
- In the Home Page and in the search field ALL is selected.
- After selecting a report and then searching, the Home, Catalog, New, Open, etc menus are no longer there.
- This occurs in Internet Explorer version 9 or 11. Works fine in Chrome and Firefox.
- The following error appears in the bipublisher log:
javax.xml.ws.soap.SOAPFaultException: Path not found (/users/xxxxxxxx/_temp)

- Saw log shows:
[ERROR:31] [] [saw.connectionPool.getConnection] [ecid: <ECID>] [tid: <TID>] Authentication Failure.
Odbc driver returned an error (SQLDriverConnectW).
State: 08004. Code: 10018. [NQODBC] [SQL_STATE: 08004] [nQSError: 10018] Access for the requested connection is refused.
[nQSError: 43113] Message returned from OBIS.
[nQSError: 43126] Authentication failed: invalid user/password.

- The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
- Log into Analytics.
- Attempt to access Home, Catalog, New, Open, etc menus
- These fields are missing.
