OBIA 11G: Can You do a Truncate and Load For a Particular Fact or Dimension Table? (Doc ID 2058982.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 16, 2019

Applies to:

Business Intelligence Applications Consumer - Version 11.1.1.8.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

  1. You have scenarios in which you had to reload a particular fact/dimension table because a new column was added or something else changed. Is there a way to do this other than deleting the records from w_etl_load_dates? If you delete the records from w_etl_load_dates you might miss the flow to load the table again.
  2. It is possible to create a new load plan for a fact group. If you can create a new load plan for a particular fact group will it do a full load of the tables associated with it?
For example: If you are adding a new column to a table and want to load the column do you have to do a full load for the table? How can you do that by creating a load plan for a particular fact group?
