Goal
Confirmation of file systems supported for distributed EPM installation.
We have been informed by our storage vendor that MPFS is a legacy/sunset file system type and are requesting Oracle provide the recommended storage types for the Reporting and Analysis shared (specifically RA &FR) storage location. The EPM Tuning guide advises against CIFS for the RA storage due to potential performance issues. We have 2 RA/FR Servers using a shared file system location via UNC path for the RM1 Data repository.
We also are requesting Oracle provide the best performing and current list of supported file system types for RHEL for use in an Essbase Active-Passive Cluster configuration. Currently we are using GFS as a shared file system for the Essbase ARBORPATH. What is the recommended best performing storage type and file system. We require specific information.
