In BI some employees who are absent for particular period in EBS are not displaying. You notice that the employees ABSENCE_DT is not present.
ABSENCE_DT is populated from W_DAY_D.CALENDAR_DATE and not directly from EBS data.
If you take an example of one employee who is absent in the month of May is not displaying in OBIEE. The following condition is failing for that employee for that particular month.
Looking at a Standard OBIEE report in the Absence and accrual Dashboard - Report Name - Absence KPI
(W_DAY_D.CALENDAR_DATE >= WRKFC_FACT.EFFECTIVE_FROM_DT AND W_DAY_D.CALENDAR_DATE < WRKFC_FACT.EFFECTIVE_TO_DT)
1. Full absence periods are not available in absence fact table.
2. All future dated absence (those absence whose start date is greater than the ETL run date) will have absence metrics as 0
1. Even a single absence date for an absence period should not missed in absence event fact table otherwise it will give wrong results at report level
2. Metrics for future dated absence should not be zero as future can be tomorrow /next week/next Month.
