OBIEE 11g - Reports That Access MS SQL Server Hang and Cause Stuck Threads

Information in this document applies to any platform.
- OBIEE was recently configured to access a MS SQL Server (MSSQL) 2008 R2 database / data source.
- Analyses that access this MSSQL database execute successfully, but intermittently these reports will "hang" - show the working / spinning icon continuously - and Stuck Threads will eventually be reported in the WLS Managed Server log.
- For example, see messages like the following:
<Error> <WebLogicServer> <BEA-000337> [STUCK] ExecuteThread: ... has been busy for "2,467" seconds working on the request ... , which is more than the configured time (StuckThreadMaxTime) of "2,400" seconds.
