OBIEE 11g - Search Within Subject Area Delivers Only First (Doc ID 2071522.1)

Last updated on JULY 18, 2017

Applies to:

Business Intelligence Suite Enterprise Edition - Version and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Following the documentation in OBIEE User's Guide (here)
"Search — Use this button to display the Search field, where you can initiate a search within the subject areas that are displayed in the Subject Areas pane. The results of the search include subject areas, columns, and folders. For example, if you enter time, the search results show all subject areas, columns, and folders that include "time" in their name."

When searching for a specific term, e.g. "sales", the result will deliver columns, folders etc. which are associated with it. But if multiple columns are called "sales" which come from different logical tables and presentation folders, then the result will only display the first one. Other "sales" columns won't be shown.

Is there any way to configure the search?
