OBIEE 11g - "Could not establish connection" On BI Publisher After Enabling SSL (Doc ID 2085803.1)

Symptoms

When you try to set up a JDBC connection from BI Publisher to the OBIEE server it cannot be established.  After enabling SSL for the OBIEE server you have set up the connection string for the JDBC source as:

jdbc:oraclebi://<server>:<port>/ssl=true;sslKeystorefilename=<keystore_path>;sslKeystorepassword=<keystore_password>

But when trying to test the connection you get:

Error:
Could not establish connection.

 

Changes

 SSL has been enabled for the OBIEE server
