Error When Trying To Preview Financial Reporting (FR) Reports: "java.lang.NullPointerException" (Doc ID 2086556.1)

Symptoms

You've recently upgraded EPM 11.1.2.X.  Now when running FR reports, an error results: "nested exception is:java.lang.NullPointerException".


When you try to open a report in FR Studio, a similar error is seen:
