OBIEE 12c: After Configuring OHS WebGate with OAM for SSO, The Redirect Errors Wtih "This Page Can't Be Displayed"

Server A: OHS 12.2.1 in a Standalone Domain (serves as the reverse proxy for OBIEE 12c)
Server B: OAM/SSO 126.96.36.199 and OID 188.8.131.52
OHS was first configured and tested, and OBIEE ccould be accessed successfully; that is, the OBIEE Sign In page was displayed.
Then, OHS WebGate for OAM was configured as per:
Oracle® Fusion Middleware Installing and Configuring Oracle HTTP Server > B Configuring Oracle HTTP Server WebGate for Oracle Access Manager
But then, when navigating to OBIEE (/analytics) or to the OHS Home Page, users were not redirected to the OAM Sign In page; instead, "This page can't be displayed" was displayed.
