ConfigApps.sh fails while installing OBIA 188.8.131.52.2 at "Configuring ODI" steps on RAC database.
Below are the log entries from Install log:
Disconnected from weblogic server: AdminServer
keystore created successfully
configure_odi: sh: syntax error at line 1: '(' unexpected
configure_odi: Problem invoking WLST - Traceback (innermost last):
Below is the Connect string used for the RAC database while connecting to schema as per Standard Documentation
If single RAC instance is used in the connect string like ab0801-vip:1571:ABCDBI1 instead of ab0801-vip:1571:ABCDBI1^ab0802-vip:1571:ABCDBI2@ABCDBI the installation is successful. But, the purpose of using RAC as underlying database is not fulfilled because it will connect only to node 1 of RAC.
Internal Bug 21814364 - CONFIGAPPS.SH FAILS WITH ERROR "syntax error near unexpected token '('
Once the installation is completed using single RAC url datasource created at the time of installation will have single RAC instance url. You cannot update db url back with RAC based DB URL .There are few datasources like bip_datasource, mds-owsm which gets created at the time of OBIEE config steps ie after running config.sh file.
While running config.sh RAC connect string was given which had created " multi source " type datasources ,ie there will be three datasources.
bip_datasource - rac0 ----url pointing to RAC node 1
bip_datasource - rac1 ----url pointing to RAC node 2
But, while running Configapps.sh if single instance RAC connect string is given Generic Datasources are created like odiMasterRepository ,ApplicationLiteDB and thus we cannot create manual multisoure type datasources after installation.
