Discoverer Desktop - Unable to access Some Network drives while attempting to Open a Workbook

Discoverer Desktop > Open > My Computer
In the Open Workbook from My Computer dialogue, Discoverer Desktop does not display any of the network drives that are mapped to the laptop. Thus the user cannot open a Discoverer workbook from a network drive. Only the local C: and D: drives are displayed in the "Open" dialogue.
What could be the problem?
