UNION Query In OBIEE 11g Gives Incorrect Grand Totals (Doc ID 2104527.1)

Symptoms

The table view in the UNION query gives correct values for a measure taken from the subject area, but incorrect values for a calculated value derived from that measure.

Subreport1 & Subreport2 individually work correctly.

However, when both reports are combined in a UNION report, grand totals are  not correct.

This issue occurs in 11.1.1.7.xx and 11.1.1.9.x.
