Symptoms

You're designing or running an FR report against an Essbase datasource.  The report references an Essbase substitution variable whose value contains double quotes (likely because the variable is set to an Essbase member whose name contains a space).  When you run the report, the following error occurs:

      Error executing query: Error: Internal Essbase JAPI error: [Cannot execute report. Essbase Error(1001005): Unknown Member [] in Report]
