The OPMN Windows service for Essbase shows as started but the ESSBASE.EXE process is not shown in Windows Task Manager.
When trying to connect to Essbase from a front end tool like the Excel addin or EAS, the following error is seen - "Network error : Unable to connect to [Server_name:1423]. The client timed out waiting to connect to Analytic Services Agent using TCP/IP. Check your network connection. Also make sure that server and port values are correct". No network/port changes have been made.
