OBIEE 12c: ODBC Access From Excel 2013 Power Query Fails With Error nQSError: 10039 The driver does not support this function (Doc ID 2131268.1)

You are unable to successfully connect to OBIEE 12.2.1 via the ODBC driver with Microsoft Excel 2013 Power Query/Power Pivot whether using the 32-bit or 64-bit ODBC driver or with the 12.2.1 64-bit ODBC driver.

You have been able to successfully use this ODBC connectivity with Spotfire and have validated it with Tableau and even with MS Query and pass though queries.

Error received from ODBC Log on client:
