Goal

You wish to disable the Smart View add-in from Microsoft Office products such as Excel, Word and Outlook.  In Excel, you've clicked the Navigate button (upper left part of the window) > Excel Options > Add-Ins header, selected "Excel Add-Ins" from the Manage dropdown and unchecked "Oracle Smart View for Office".  In Word, you've clicked the Navigate button (upper left part of the window) > Word Options > Add-Ins header, selected "COM Add-Ins" from the Manage dropdown and unchecked "Oracle Smart View for Office".  Despite this, Smart View continues to load when these products are launched, causing the startup to take extra time.
