Last updated on MAY 06, 2016

Applies to:

Business Intelligence Suite Enterprise Edition - Version 11.1.1.7.160119 to 11.1.1.7.160119 [Release 11g]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Purpose

In some circumstances the OBIEE 11g JavaHost System Component (obisjh1) may not start up via Enterprise Manager Fusion Middleware Control or via the opmnctl command-line. Additionally, the jh.log may not be getting generated or there may be no entries in the jh.log (or nothing significant) indicating a problem; therefore, you may need to start the executable manually to see if any message is logged in the console, check for a core dump (crash) or use further operating system diagnostic tools such as truss, dtrace, strace, etc.
