Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) Application Missing Sequences (Doc ID 2155036.1)

Symptoms

HFM application logs contain error "ORA-02289: sequence does not exist".


Missing sequences will cause application tasks to fail until sequences are recreated.

 

Changes

There are and have been several product defects covering several HFM versions where Sequences are found to be missing. Most common causes are a problem running the HFM copy utility, the Application Import Feature (introduced in 11.1.2.4.200). DBA attempting to manually copy HFM applications also usually results in missing sequences.
