OBIEE 11g Export To Excel 2007 The Decimal Point Seen On A Whole Number In Excel, Not In OBIEE (Doc ID 2165797.1)

In an OBIEE 11g analysis a column with Data Format as "Number" and Decimal Places "up to 4" with thousands separator checked displays correctly in OBIEE. However, once exported to Excel 2007, whole numbers always have a decimal point (Example: OBIEE 9 in Excel 9. ).

Why is there a decimal point in the number when there are no decimals?
