OBIEE 12c: Managed Server (bi_server1) and System Components Do Not Start After Enabling Internal SSL (Doc ID 2173473.1)

Information in this document applies to any platform.

You are enabling end-to-end SSL for OBIEE12c.

You are configuring internal SSL following the Security Guide which useds the Weblogic trust store.

You are able to setup the Node Manager, Admin Server and BI_server1 to use "CustomIdentityandCustomTrust".

You are using JKS type Keystores for Custom Identity and Custom trust.
You have not enabled internalSSL on the SystemComponents.

In this scenario:

Node manager is able to startup Admin Server, and BI Server1
Node manager is able to start up System Components the startup.properties file is updated to use the certificate cname

Next, you enable internal SSL: <MW_HOME>/bitools/bin/ssl.sh internalssl true

In this scenarios:

Node manager is able to startup Admin Server, and BI Server1
Node manager is not able to start up bi_server1 and System Components, and throws the following error:
