Symptoms

You're in the process of applying maintenance release 11.1.2.4 to your existing 11.1.2.3 environment. The Shared Services deployment is failing. When you try to start Foundation Services, the Services panel states that it is running, but an error appears when you attempt to launch the Shared Services console in a browser:

"404 access for URI: http://<Host_URL>:19000/interop/conf/audit/auditReleaseConfig.xml"

In the Weblogic Admin console, the Shared Services deployment shows a status of "failed". The FoundationServices0.log file contains the following error:

"<Servlet: "WorkflowEngine" failed to preload on startup in Web application: "interop".
javax.servlet.ServletException: DSF initialization error com/hyperion/hit/registry/ComponentType.TAX_OPERATIONS_PRODUCTLcom/hyperion/hit/registry/ComponentType"

Changes

You've applied the maintenance release to upgrade from 11.1.2.3 to 11.1.2.4.
