OBIEE 11g - Error:"Column is not compatible with the current subject area" Occurs When You Add a Column that Includes Special Character (Doc ID 2179715.1)

Symptoms

Once you create a column with special characters (ex. '素' or '怠') as the last character in Administration Tool, drag & drop it from [Criteria > Subject Areas] to [Selected Columns] will return the following error.

        Column is not compatible with the current subject area "Sample Sales Lite".
        Please check the column formula.

The issue occurs only when you use the special character as the last character of the column name; and when the character is in between other characters, there is no error.
