Smart View: Unable to Connect to Essbase Application via Shared Connections When Provisioned With Application Access Only

Information in this document applies to any platform.
Users are only provisioned with one Essbase application via a Native Group. When they try to connect from Smart View using Shared Connections, they get the following error:
"User authentication needed. Please sign on"
