OBIEE 12c: After Moving | Changing The Server IP and Hostname, OBIEE Fails To Start (Doc ID 2210291.1)

Symptoms

You moved your OBIEE 12c server from one data center to another. You were not able to keep the existing IP address for the machine. When you start OBIEE via the 'start.sh' script, it fails on the following error:



Failed to start node manager after a timeout of 600000 millisecs. Final except odeManager. Check that it is running at /10.168.200.XXX:9506.
Use dumpStack() to view the full stacktrace :
Unable to connect to NodeManager on host: obieeserver.prod.com, due to Erro r. Check that it is running at /10.168.200.XXX:9506.
Use dumpStack() to view the full stacktrace :

Failed to start one or more Servers


NodeManager (10.168.200.XXX:9506): NOT RUNNING

Please start node manager and re-run this command to obtain complete status
