OBIEE 12c: "RPD password is wrong" Error When Trying To Upload RPD (Doc ID 2216984.1)

Symptoms

On Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) 12c,

The below error occurs while uploading RPD in the OBIEE 12c environment, even though the RPD password is correct and can be opened with the same password in offline mode.

[nQSError: 13042] Repository password is wrong

Changes

Copied from OBIEE 11g environment and upgraded 11g RPD to 12c using OBIEE 12c Administration tool, then uploading the RPD in OBIEE 12c environment.
