FDMEE validate fails with error "java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: account parameter is required"

Our client uses FDMEE to load an HFM application.
We have migrated the application from FDM classic (version The migration was completed successfully following the Oracle Migration Guide.
After the import stage (the mappings work fine) the validate step fails.

The error shown in the odiagent.log and in the application outbox/log folder is as follows:
