EPM System Configurator for FDMEE database clears ODI information

Hyperion Database Migration
Customer is migrating users from Hyperion database to another database server.
After migration of user from FDMEE, I run the “EPM System Configurator” in order to execute the re-pointing of database users.
I selected “Configure Database” and “Deploy application Server”
After changing the connection url to the new database, I selected option “Reuse Existing Database”
The configurator completed without problems. But when I accessed the FDMEE ODI repository, I noticed that it reconfigured the repository, leaving it as default.
There were some interfaces, topologies, and agents that were manually created and were deleted after the reconfiguration.
Could you tell me why this happened? When we run the configurator with the reuse option, does it redo the entire ODI repository?
